In “Snow White and the Huntsman” a new twist to the classic fairy-tale emerges when the Huntsman, ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen.

Going into this movie I was really hoping it would be good, the trailers made it look like a really fun movie and I was really excited for it. But, lo and behold disappointment came when I watched this movie, because it is really forgettable and just overall a bland movie. Let’s start off with the characters; I only remember one in particular. Kristen Stewart is as stoic as ever, but not in a good way at all, as for Chris Hemsworth, he was pretty much just playing Thor again, those characters could probably be interchanged and nothing would be different. Charlize Theron was really over-the-top, with all her yelling and whatnot, but I have to give her credit she was memorable, she wasn’t the evil queen I was hoping from a fantastic actress like Charlize Theron, but for what it was, it was okay. There is also a really forced love triangle between The Huntsman, Snow White, and William, it adds nothing to the plot and it is just there to have a love triangle. The action in the movie was okay,  but you need more to a movie than just action. As for the dwarves in the movie, they were good, but they weren’t in it enough to even make anything relevant to the plot. I felt like they just had dwarves in the movie just because they wanted to have dwarves in the movie. Some could say that you can’t have a Snow White movie without dwarves, but we had a Batman trilogy without Robin (well, kind of). So this is a bland action movie with forgettable characters and pointless plot details, I would not recommend this movie. 2.3/10.
