Before I start this review I have to say that if you want to watch the movie, do NOT watch the trailer, because in my opinion it gives away too much of the plot.
I was very excited to see this movie because of a couple of great reviews online, so I rented it and I watched it, and I have to say, this movie is near flawless. Everything about this movie is incredible, the acting, the story, the characters, the tension, it’s just phenomenal. I have so much respect for the makers of this movie. This movie was made on a very low budget and the fact that they could tell a story this incredible with so little money is just astounding. This movie does have some unanswered questions, because it is the first of a planned (and already written) trilogy, which I am extremely excited for. There were multiple scenes in this movie where I was on the edge of my seat, and not a single bullet was fired at anyone, just proves that you can make a movie suspenseful without it being an action movie. Brit Marling was amazing in her role as Maggie, she was persuasive, creepy, and everything she needed to be and more in that role. This movie will definitely stay in your head long after it’s over, I saw this movie two weeks ago and I still am questioning events that took place in this movie. I have faith that the two sequels to this movie will capture the same feelings that this movie captures. If you are interested in this movie, but you don't know if you want to see it or not, you can watch the first 12 minutes of the movie at SoundofmyVoiceMovie.com, and if you seem interested in it, watch the rest if it. I highly recommend this movie if you want to watch a movie that will make you think but won’t necessarily turn your brain to jelly. 10/10.
