Students new to SOE must have their signed training agreements in by TODAY to continue in the program.
There is a change with the Pride Point Card collection for second semester. Mrs. Koser will be collecting Pride Point Cards at lunch on TUESDAYS this semester. Bring your cards to lunch on Tuesdays to redeem your points.
2nd Semester Parking Passes will be available to purchase, or pick up if you have already paid for one, during lunch or after school TODAY in the main office. If this is the first time purchasing a parking pass, there is a form in the main office that must be filled out and signed by a parent. The cost is $85.00 to be paid in full. Your parents can pay online. You must have a copy of the online receipt with your vehicle information on it when you pick up your pass. You must have a 2nd semester pass on your vehicle.
Applications for the Community Memorial Hospital Summer Healthcare Career Academy are now available on line. All applications are due to Ms. Meyer in Student Services by Friday, March 8.
Attention All Juniors interested in Badger Boys State or Badger Girls State. Please stop in to the main office to add your name as a nominee. The deadline for sign up is TODAY.
From the Yearbook Staff: Senior Send Offs are due February 14th, 2013.
The information can be found on the School Fusion Web page or hard copies are on the main office counter.
Just print or fill out a copy and return the stated items and place in the yearbook basket in the main office.

EMPTY BOWLS
Empty Bowls fundraiser for the Falls Food Pantry is this Friday, 5 to 7:30 pm in the Cafeteria. Cost is $10 for dinner of soup, bread, water, and ceramic bowl

Attention all Students! As a reminder the Menomonee Falls High School Schedule Change Policy is as follows. Schedule changes will only be allowed if they meet one or more of the following criteria:
- A course originally selected has been canceled
- Failure of a required or prerequisite course
- Adding a course needed to graduate on time
- Adding a course required for college admission
- Accommodating a medical condition
- To balance the difficulty of the class schedule over the school year or to balance class sizes
- To provide an academic intervention or support.
In order to submit a schedule change request, your request must meet one of these listed criteria. Schedule changes cannot be made to request specific instructors or specific hours of a class. This policy is printed in the Menomonee Falls High School Course Guide.
Attention all students: Show off your style by wearing a tie every Tuesday! FBLA is sponsoring new “Tie Tuesdays”. Men, wear a tie, or Ladies, wear a scarf on Tuesdays. A business teacher or Mr. Anderson will give you a Pride Point Stamp for wearing your tie or scarf.
Attention Seniors!! This is IMPORTANT information about scholarships!! The Student Services Department now has a 26 page Scholarship Grid online listing over 150 scholarships! The majority of these scholarships are from the local and state level but some are also scholarships offered nationally.
To check out this vitally important information go to the Student Services tab on our school website and click on Scholarships. Then scroll down and click on the 2012-2013 Scholarship Grid!
There are also paper copies available in Student Services!
Please ask your School Counselor if you have more specific question about any particular scholarship!
Attention seniors! If you signed the Wisconsin Covenant Pledge when you entered high school, you must complete the confirmation process by March 30, 2013. Visit www.wisconsincovenant.wi.gov to complete your Senior Confirmation and Record of Service form. These completed forms must have signatures from you, your parent/guardian and your high school principal.
CLUBS

Chinese Club is Celebrating Chinese New Year on February 8 after school in the Library. The food will be delicious, the games and entertainment will be hilarious and the desserts will be sweet – all in order to bring you a prosperous New Year. All are welcome! The cost is $8.00. Pay Mrs. Wanta in room 239 by February 5. More information to come!
Next week is spirit week AND a chance to expand your HORIZONS! Celebrate the Lunar New year and possibly win some Lucky Money for your Activity Club. Spend $1 on a Red Envelope (Or TWO, or THREE) and increase your Club’s chances to win funding for a project or charity! Red Envelopes will be available during the Lunch periods all week, so celebrate NEW HORIZONS by showing some spirit for your favorite activity club!!!
German National Honor society will be holding a peanut butter drive to benefit Hunger Task Force. All second hour classes will compete to win a homemade breakfast consisting of pancakes, bacon, eggs and more. The class bringing in the most peanut butter (averaged by number of people in the class) will win. Hunger Task Force provides food free of charge to food banks in Milwaukee and Waukesha County. They are short over 100,000 jars of peanut butter!!! Please help yourself by helping others and bring your peanut butter in next week, February 3rd through the 8th!!!
Valentine's Day is coming!!!! Buy a flower for that special someone - friend, teacher, secretary February 1st through the 8th. Flowers are available to purchase in the cafeteria during lunch hours Friday, Feb. 1st and all week February 4th through the 8th. Carnations will be delivered on Valentine's Day during 2nd hour. One long-stem carnation costs $1.50 - you can buy three carnations for $4. Every 3 flowers purchased earns you a raffle ticket for a chance to win a dozen cookies. There will be 3 cookie winners! All flower proceeds go to Children's Hospital!!!
Interested in showing off your math skills? Next week Thursday the math club will be participating in a meet at Wisconsin Lutheran High School. See Mr. Ulrich in room 253 if you are interested in participating. And remember it's okay to like math.
STUDENT COUNCIL
Turnabout is February 9th! Tickets are on sale at lunch, $15 per person. You must turn in your permission slip when you purchase your ticket. Last day to purchase tickets is Wednesday, Feb 6.
Spirit week is next week! Look for posters that explain the days.
SPORTS
Just a reminder that tomorrow night Boys Basketball Game is Food Pantry Night. Bring in 2 non-perishable food items or $5.00 for a “Pride From Inside” t-shirt. Limited supply so come early to get yours.
All headphone orders must be in by next Friday, February 8th. Order blanks are outside the Athletic Office.
Any athlete that plans to sign a Letter of Intent for Collegiate Sports on February 6th should sign up for the ceremony in the Athletic Office.
Scholarship Opportunity in the Athletic Office for any student that has received a Varsity Letter in at least one sport. Application forms are finally available in the Athletic Office.
ATTENTION GIRLS INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT FOR SOFTBALL: There will be a short informational meeting on Tuesday, February 12 at 3:20 in the High School Cafeteria. If you cannot make it, please check the softball website for more information, or contact any coach in the program.
COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
Boys and Girls interested in playing rugby this spring, there will be an informational meeting next Monday, February 4th at 3:30pm in the cafeteria. An overview of the sport, schedule, and costs will be addressed. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please contact the CE&Rec Department at 262-255-8460.
