MONDAY – January 7, 2013

Attention all students:  Show off your style by wearing a tie every Tuesday!  FBLA is sponsoring new “Tie Tuesdays”.  Men, wear a tie, and Ladies, wear a scarf on Tuesdays.  A business teacher or Mr. Anderson will give you a Pride Point Stamp for wearing your tie or scarf.

Attention Seniors!  If you signed the Wisconsin Covenant Pledge when you entered high school, you must complete the confirmation process by March 30, 2013.  Visit www.wisconsincovenant.wi.gov to complete your Senior Confirmation and Record of Service form.   These completed forms must have signatures from you, your parent/guardian and your high school principal.

 

CLUBS

Attention FBLA Members:  There is a study night on Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in Room 250.  Please sign up in room 250 ahead of time.  Pizza will be provided. 

 

There is a Key Club Meeting this Thursday after school in room 150!

 

STUDENT COUNCIL

Student council will have a mandatory meeting TODAY from 3:10-3:20 in the auditorium.  We will be voting on Themes for turnabout, selling T-shirts, and going over details for winter carnival.  See Mrs. Hills or Mrs. Hangos Monday during the day if you cannot make the meeting. 

SPORTS

Attention Fastpitch Softball Players: Open Gym for Wednesday, January 9 is cancelled due to a rescheduling conflict at North.  It will begin on Thursday, January 10 at 4:30 p.m.

 

The girl’s varsity gymnastics team is having a great start to the 2013 year!  They took 2nd of 10 teams in the Reedsburg Invitational this weekend.  Senior Aerial Holt captured the vaulting title with a booming 9.325 score.  Congratulations gymnasts!

 

Congratulations to the Junior Varsity Cheer Team for winning first place out of eight at their cheer competition. Congratulations to the Varsity team for taking second out of six teams. Great job JV and Varsity cheer! Varsity will be competing at the Appleton North competition this Saturday. Good luck girls!

The Menomonee Falls/Hamilton/Germantown boys swimming and diving team competed in the Marquette invite on Saturday January 5. The boys placed 13thout of 20 teams. There were some great swims. Top Varsity scorer was: John Seiler in the 50 free and 100 fly. Thursday the Boys Swimming and Diving team will face West Allis.

The Boys Swim team competed in the Conference Relays on Thursday, January 3rd. 
Most of the team members achieved personal bests. The Varsity team finished in 6th place and the Junior Varsity team finished 5th.

 

Congratulation to the Indians wrestling team for their 69-7 victory over Marquette last Thursday night.  The Indians are currently undefeated in GMC dual and are ranked 6th in the Milwaukee Metro area. Great job wrestlers!

 

The Indians JV wrestling team also remained undefeated (9-0) with 54-6 win over Marquette.

 

Attention teams in the 2013 High School Rec Basketball League; schedules are now posted at www.fallsrec.org.  The first night of league games is scheduled for next Monday.  Please make sure you have your completed player cards and any remaining funds turned into the CE&Rec Office before you play.
