Ms. Koser will be in the cafeteria today collecting Golla Bills.  Please remember to turn in your Golla Bills for incentives.  If you are not interested in any of our current interventions, bank your points with Ms. Koser, so you don’t lose them!  Our latest incentive is a bowling party at Classic Lanes for up to 10 people.  It includes three games per person, shoe rental, 2 pizzas, and 2 pitchers of soda.

 

There will also be some treats for purchase to help raise money to get more and different incentives.  Please bring regular Dollar Bills to purchase chocolate covered oreo pops, puppy chow, and chocolate chip cookies.

CLUBS

 

NHS meeting TODAY after school in the Auditorium.

 

The Forensics Team will have its first meeting TODAY after school in Room 144. If you’re interested in public speaking or acting, please join us. See Mr. Jaeger or Miss Dwyer if you have questions.

 

The Thassophobia Submission of the week is “The Cellist” by Faith Patterson. Remember to submit your poetry, prose, or art work in the library or room 144.

 

The news writing club needs photographers for school events and reporters of school news. See Mr. Jaeger if you’re interested in a club that allows you to practice writing for an audience and looks good on your resume.

 

We will be having our first Art Club meeting this Thursday, Oct 24th in art room 30 (the painting room) immediately after school till 4pm.  Art club is open to all students at MFHS. You do not need to be in an art class in order to be a member.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Chmielewski in art room 30.

 

Attention FBLA members:  If you ordered and paid for an FBLA T-shirt, please stop by room 244 during the school day to pick up your shirt from a business teacher. On Thursday wear your FBLA T-shirt for the first “FBLA T-shirt Day” of the school year. Thursday is also the next FBLA meeting after school in the auditorium.

 

The next Book Club Meeting is October 29th in room 207 after school. We will be having our Halloween party.

 

SPORTS

 

Soccer Sectional Final game at Arrowhead on Thursday night at 6:30. We will have a spectator bus. The first 80 that sign up will be free onto the bus. Pre-sell tickets will be available today through Wednesday noon. Permission slips are available in the Athletic Office.

 

COMMUNITY EDUCATION & RECREATION

There will be free introductory boys rugby practice on Wednesday from 4-5pm at the killer hill practice field located just east of the Community Center on Menomonee River Parkway and Marshall Dr.  Please wear running gear and bring cleats if possible.  A basic review of the sport, simple drills, and a review of the positions will be discussed.  For more information please call 255-8460 or visit www.fallsrec.org
