Live for today.
The alarm goes off, another early morning.
Live for today.
The bus’s squealing brakes sing a song of warning.

Live for today.
Almost dinner time now, I smell the chicken and green beans.

The same old questions about the same old routine.
Live for today.
A sea of homework, but I’ll get out alive.
Live for today.
Open my computer, and as always, discover the way to survive.

Live for today.
A little midnight snack as the end falls into place.
Live for today.
Time to get ready for bed, and as I turn out the light-
