There is something about dreams I cannot place
Like a single freckle upon my face
They give me hope for better days
When all that matters are books and plays
Dreams fill my head while I am asleep
Reminding me of why people weep
For dreams are temporary and sweet
but life is nothing like a treat
But when we close our eyes we feel
That reality our brains do steal
So people look to dreams to help them cope
Just like me, dreams give them hope
But even dreams have a dark side, this is true
Because nightmares are a form of dreaming too
