I wonder what it’s like to be a hot air balloon
No worries to bother, no cares to consume
Life must be pretty easy for the hot air balloon
No love to be lost, no decay of life
It can’t be hard to be a hot air balloon
No report cards to hide, no people to avoid
Oh yes, the easy life of the hot air balloon
No stock markets to crash, no fiscal cliff
I wonder what it’s like to be a hot air balloon

Then again, maybe life isn’t great for the hot air balloon
No love to be had, no embraces to bloom
Loneliness must run rampant for the hot air balloon
Going up and down, but never living for yourself
Does it get tiresome for the hot air balloon
Going where others want, doing what others choose
It must be dull to be a hot air balloon
No opinions of your own, beliefs to explore
I sure am glad I’m not a hot air balloon
